저는 실제로는 존재하지 않지만 어디선가 본 듯한 혼종적 생명체를 상상합니다. 2017년부터 지금까지 고립된 개체에서 시작해 군집으로, 그리고 그들이 살아가는 미시적 풍경으로 시선을 넓혀, 눈에 띄지 않는 작은 생명들의 세계를 만들어오고 있습니다. 회화, 드로잉, 판화, 디지털 프린트, 페이퍼마셰, 도자 등 여러 매체를 오가며 콜라주적 태도로 작업해요. 주변에서 마주치는 다양한 것들을 체화하며 지금 이 순간을 발명하는 방식입니다. 미물과 세포 하나하나까지 들여다보며 그들을 느껴보려 하고, 저마다 고유한 생명력을 지닌 존재들이 서로 어떻게 의지하며 관계를 맺는지 보여주고 싶어요. 세상의 작은 부분으로서 풍경에 스며들어 살아가는 경험을 통해, 모든 것이 연결되어 서로 의존하는 이상향을 추구합니다.

I imagine hybrid creatures that don't actually exist but seem strangely familiar. Since 2017, I have been building a world of small, unnoticed lives, expanding my perspective from isolated individuals to colonies, and then to the microscopic landscapes they inhabit.
I work across various media—painting, drawing, printmaking, digital prints, papier-mâché, and ceramics—with a collage approach. This is a way of inventing the present moment by embodying the diverse encounters from my surroundings.
I examine tiny creatures and individual cells, attempting to feel their presence, and I want to reveal how beings with their own unique vitality depend on and relate to each other. Through the experience of living as a small part of the world, permeating into the landscape, I pursue an ideal where everything is connected and interdependent.
